Pokok Salam / Indonesian Bay Leaf

(Syzygium polyanthum)

A rather exotic spice and not easily available in
the West. Indonesian bay leaves are widely used
in Indonesia as a flavouring in food and also
medicinally for treating diarrhoea and gastric
problems.
