Grapevine is a bushy perennial plant with helices – tendrils and trailing shoots. It’s a climbing plant that prefers to climb up rocks or tree trunks. Tendrils are degraded inflorescences that grow on the stems. Inflorescences develop over the leaves, which are large, opposite, and heart-shaped. With 3-5 lobs and separate nerves, they can be terraced or lobed. The variety determines the form, size, and colour of the leaves.
