The fruits are relatively unknown, but those who have tried them say they are delicious. Freshly consumed or utilized in the preparation of foods. The avocado-like fruit can be utilized in the same way. Litsea seeds are high in lipids, which are used to make soap and candles. The tree can be found growing along riverbanks and sprinkled near settlements in Sarawak and southwest Sabah. The foliage resembles that of an avocado, although the leaves are longer and more elegantly droop. The single, avocado-like fruit is surrounded by medium to thick flesh and has a thin, edible bright pink peel.<\/p>\n
