The fruits of pisang kebatu have a thick skin that appears to be noticeably square. It is called pisang kebatu because the skin of the fruit is quite hard as a rock (batu). Another name, the fruits of pisang abu keling, almost resembles the fruits of pisang abu when young on a tree with its green-peel-color. This cultivar shows good tolerance to Fusarium wilt disease. The plant height is between 2.5-3.0 meters and will take 90-100 days of flowering to harvest. The weight of a bunch is approximately 15-18 kg.
