Over the years, parsley has been used to treat conditions like high blood pressure and inflammatory diseases.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>KNOWN HAZARD:<\/strong> None known<\/p>\n<p><strong>PLANT PARTS USED:<\/strong> Leaves, stems, roots and seeds<\/p>\n<p><strong>EDIBLE USES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Leaves <\/strong>&#8211; Raw or cooked. Parsley is frequently used as a garnish or as a flavoring in salads and many cooked dishes. A tea is made from the fresh or dried leaves.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stems<\/strong> &#8211; The stems can be dried and ground and used as a food coloring.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>MEDICINAL USES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drinking parsley tea may help support bone health, boost immune system and enhance liver health.<\/li>\n<li>An infusion of the roots and seeds is taken after childbirth to promote lactation and help contract the uterus.<\/li>\n<li>A poultice of the leaves has been applied externally to soothe bites and stings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>OTHER USES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The juice is an effective mosquito repellent.<\/li>\n<li>An essential oil obtained from the plant is used in perfumeries for men.<\/li>\n<li>An infusion of the leaves is an excellent rinse for dark hair and also helps in the treatment of dandruff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PLANT CARE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Parsley does well in both full-sun and part shade. If planting parsley indoors, be sure to grow it near a sunny window.<\/li>\n<li>Parsley enjoys well-draining soil that is rich in organic matter.<\/li>\n<li>Parsley is ready to cut or harvest in about 70 to 90 days after planting.<\/li>\n<li>Trimming parsley increases the yield of the plant.<\/li>\n<li>Parsley can be propagated by seeds.
